is a very very active legislator whose wealth of experience has contributed in no small measure to tangible and effective changes in our national political and social landscape as a legislator of no mean repute . He has served as an adviser to former Speaker of the House of Reps, Aminu Bello Masari. He headed the committee that crafted the electoral act in 2002, He was part of the team that championed the creation of Border Town Development Authority. In fact, for all intents and purposes he is a creative leader with a clear agenda to bring about positive change. He served very creditably in the Federal House of Represenatives before winning the Jigawa North west Senatorial Ticket under the platform of the All Progressives Congress APC in 2015.
Reason for the Award
Senator Gumel has proved to be very adept in providing critical leadership skills in both normal and desperate times. As Nigerians, it has become very important to begin to carefully isolate those individuals who have the needed acumen to fast track our growth as a nation and Senator Gumel is one of the favorites. is the Senator representing Niger East Senatorial zone who was elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress in 2015. He is an astute politician with the mandate to advance youth and women empowerment initiatives. He has a very vibrant grass root engagement drive which is readily reflected in the results from his zone.

As a golden voice of the senate, senator Umoru brings a fresh and vibrant perspective to the hallowed chamber of the National Assembly. He is also a key person in the championing of the HYPERDEC bill in the senate. Distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu

Brief Profile of the Nominee

Senator Oluremi Tinubu represents Lagos Central Senatorial District on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). An educationist, administrator, philanthropist and Officer of the Order of the Niger, she was the exemplary First Lady of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007, during which period she founded the New Era Foundation; a non-profit organisation, dedicated to youth development, girl-child education, women empowerment and inspiring young persons to excellence. Over the years, this forthright role model has made tremendous impact in the lives of several people and institutions within and outside Nigeria. 

Reason for the Award

Senator Tinubu has shown an amazing propensity for developmental initiative among youth and women in Nigeria. She has run a very vibrant regime of  multiple human capacity development projects which continues to have tangible definitive impact on the lives of members of  her constituency and Nigerians at large . Distinguished Senator Bassey Albert Akpan

Senator Bassey Albert Akpan is an embodiement of quintessential leadership skills  well honed over the years as an outstanding technocrat and a financial expert. He was a force to be reckoned with in the banking industry before deciding to run for public office as a senator. He represents Akwaibom North East Senatorial zone in the hallowed chamber of the National Assembly. Prior to running for the senate seat, he was the Commissioner of Finance in Akwaibom State from 2007 to 2015.

Reason for the Award 
Senator Bassey Albert Akpan has demonstrated rare leadership qualities in the discharge of all his public service duties. In the hallowed chambers he is a golden voice and a great source of inspiration for millions of Nigerians. He was particularly outstanding as the finance commissioner in eight years of Godswill Akpabio's administration enabling most of the achievements of that administration.
